As part of the implementation of the Strategy for Combating Extremism and Terrorism in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030, an information campaign entitled “We Condemn Extremism and Terrorism in All Their Forms” was organized at the initiative of the University Youth Organization.
The campaign aimed to raise young people’s awareness and legal literacy, prevent their involvement in extremist and terrorist organizations as well as banned parties and movements, and promote responsible civic engagement.
During the campaign, particular attention was paid to preventing the spread of extremist ideologies among young people, explaining the methods used to recruit them into prohibited groups, raising awareness of the harmful effects of extremist propaganda on social media, and encouraging the responsible and purposeful use of digital information platforms.
As part of the event, informational leaflets were distributed among young people. These materials provided important information about the nature and manifestations of extremism and terrorism, the legal and social consequences of participating in extremist and terrorist organizations, and measures to prevent such harmful phenomena. The materials were designed to strengthen young people’s vigilance, foster critical thinking, and reinforce their sense of responsibility for complying with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan.
It was also emphasized that young people should remain vigilant and responsible when using social media and other information sources. They were encouraged not to trust suspicious messages, extremist appeals, or false information without verification, to check the accuracy of information through reliable sources, and to refrain from distributing content that promotes extremism.
Furthermore, the importance of sustained cooperation among young people, teachers, parents, and relevant institutions in preventing extremism and terrorism was highlighted. Enhancing legal awareness, promoting patriotism, and fostering a sound worldview among young people are important factors in maintaining social stability and public security.
Such awareness-raising and educational initiatives contribute to increasing young people’s awareness, preventing harmful social phenomena, strengthening legal literacy, and fostering a greater sense of civic responsibility.
