On the initiative of the Science and Innovation Department of the University of Innovation and Digital Technologies of Tajikistan, the first stage of the Republican “Shahnamakhoni” competition was held in the university library with special grandeur and dignity.

The competition was held among students, master’s students, doctoral candidates, lecturers, researchers, and university staff and served as one of the important educational and cultural initiatives aimed at reviving and promoting the valuable literary heritage of our ancestors. The main goal of the competition is to enhance national self-awareness, respect for historical and cultural values, broaden the spiritual worldview of society, and develop participants’ public speaking and literary reading skills.

During the competition, participants competed in reciting excerpts from the immortal work “Shahnameh,” explaining its content, demonstrating deep understanding, and showcasing oratory skills. It is noteworthy that most participants delivered their performances with serious preparation, high reading proficiency, and strong literary knowledge, earning deserved evaluations from the jury.

The jury, composed of experienced lecturers and specialists in literature and culture, assessed participants’ performances based on established criteria — accuracy of recitation, comprehension of content, artistic expression, and oratory skill.

It should be emphasized that organizing such competitions in the context of the country’s independence is of special importance for strengthening national identity, enhancing the spiritual taste of young people, and engaging them in the study of classical works of Tajik literature, especially the “Shahnameh.”

At the conclusion of the competition, the most active and deserving participants were recognized, and the best, demonstrating high knowledge and oratory skills, were granted the right to advance to the next stage of the Republican “Shahnamakhoni” competition.

The Science and Innovation Department will continue to hold such scientific and cultural events, implementing necessary measures to enhance national education and the intellectual development of youth.
