Every year, on November 16, the proud and hardworking citizens of Tajikistan celebrate President’s Day with great honor and respect.
This historic and decisive date holds a special place in our national history, as it marks the moment when the people of Tajikistan confidently stepped toward peace, unity, stability, and sustainable development.
Every nation needs a wise and patriotic leader for progress and statehood.
For the Tajik people, such a leader is the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.
Through his tireless efforts and day-and-night dedication, Tajikistan rose from the depths of war, distrust, and division toward peace, unity, and progress.
The XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, held in November 1992 in Khujand, is remembered in history as the “Session of Destiny.”
It was at this session that the foundations of peace, stability, national unity, and state revival were laid.
During that difficult period, the country was on the brink of collapse amid a civil war, with independence and statehood under threat.
It was then that a determined and wise statesman — Emomali Rahmon — emerged, declaring courageously:
“I will bring peace to independent Tajikistan!”
These words were not just a promise, but the beginning of a glorious path toward peace, unity, and development.
Through his persistent efforts, peace was restored, refugees returned home, and war-torn Tajikistan entered a new era of reconstruction.
Under the leadership of the Leader of the Nation, the country has made significant strides in all spheres — politics, economy, social welfare, and culture.
Roads, hydroelectric plants, schools, universities, factories, and rural development projects are all visible results of this leadership’s vision and dedication.
As the architect of peace and national unity, the Leader of the Nation played a historic role in uniting the people and reviving national culture.
Today, the youth of Tajikistan proudly follow the example of their President and independent state.
President’s Day is not merely a celebration of the Head of State — it is a symbol of peace, unity, and national statehood.
This day reminds every citizen of their duty to contribute to the prosperity and stability of our beloved homeland.
Under the wise leadership of the President, Tajikistan is recognized globally as a free, independent, peaceful, and stable nation.
At the United Nations level, the Leader’s global initiatives on water resources, ecology, artificial intelligence, peace for future generations, and sustainable development have gained international support.
This demonstrates the global and humanitarian significance of Tajikistan’s presidential policies.
Projects such as the Rogun Hydropower Plant, international highways, new educational institutions, industrial enterprises, and youth programs all testify to the President’s visionary governance.
The President consistently emphasizes that youth are the future of the state, and numerous programs have been launched to enhance their education, employment, and intellectual growth.
Special attention is also given to women, who are considered the foundation and educators of society.
During independence, women’s roles and status have grown remarkably, thanks to the caring and visionary leadership of President Emomali Rahmon.
He has repeatedly stated that no sustainable development is possible without the active participation of women.
By his initiative, the government has adopted major national programs to support women, such as:
The State Program for Promoting the Role of Women in Society,
The National Strategy for Enhancing Women’s Role in Tajikistan’s Development,
The Family Development Program.
These initiatives have enabled women to take an active part in political, economic, social, and cultural life.
Today, hundreds of women serve as leaders, ministers, deputies, and heads of districts.
Their contribution to education, healthcare, culture, economy, and entrepreneurship is significant.
Thanks to government support, women have gained access to education, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities. Thousands have opened businesses, engaged in production, and strengthened local economies.
The Leader of the Nation often calls women “the foundation of a healthy society.”
Thanks to his wise policies, the Tajik woman today is not only a mother and teacher, but also a successful entrepreneur, politician, and community leader.
We, the women and children of Tajikistan, proudly say:
“Tajikistan is our beloved homeland, and Emomali Rahmon is our Leader of the Nation!”
We are proud of our President and firmly support his wise and forward-looking policy, serving faithfully for the prosperity of our dear country.
