As part of the implementation of the state policy of the Republic of Tajikistan, in connection with the declaration of the “Year of Expansion of Creative and Development Works and Strengthening National Self-Awareness,” and in line with the instructions of the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, aimed at improving the quality of education and aligning it with modern global standards, an Artificial Intelligence laboratory was officially launched on April 8, 2026, at the Faculty of Computer Technologies and Cybersecurity of the University of Innovation and Digital Technologies of Tajikistan.

The opening of this laboratory is considered an important and timely initiative in the implementation of digital technologies and the modernization of the educational process, creating real opportunities to improve the quality of education and train competitive specialists.

It is worth noting that the laboratory was established within the framework of cooperation between the university and the industrial sector, aiming to strengthen the link between theory and practice and expand students’ practical knowledge. As part of the “Neru” project, NETS Solution carried out a full renovation worth 400,000 somoni and equipped the laboratory with modern educational tools and advanced information and communication technologies.

Additionally, 26 smart surveillance cameras have been installed and put into operation, ensuring accurate tracking of entry and exit of staff and students, monitoring attendance, and automatically recording data in employee timesheets and academic journals.

The main goal of establishing the laboratory is to create a modern educational environment for acquiring practical knowledge, developing analytical thinking, and enhancing students’ competitiveness in both domestic and international labor markets.

Within the laboratory’s activities, students specializing in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital economy, and finance have the opportunity to enhance their professional skills using advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, Big Data analytics, machine learning, and other digital tools.

Moreover, the laboratory serves as a modern research platform for implementing innovative projects, conducting scientific research, developing startups, and expanding collaboration with academic institutions and industry sectors.

Undoubtedly, the establishment of such a laboratory represents a strong step toward the digital economy and intellectual development, playing a significant role in training highly qualified specialists who meet the demands of the modern era.
