ENHANCING THE PROFESSIONAL SKILLS OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHERS: MODERN TEACHING METHODS AT UITDT

A scientific and methodological event titled “Enhancing the Professional Skills of English Language Teachers: Modern Methods of Teaching English” was held at the University of Innovation and Digital Technologies of Tajikistan in a constructive professional environment focused on experience exchange.

The main objective of the event was to improve teachers’ professional competencies, implement modern teaching methods, expand the use of digital technologies, and strengthen pedagogical communication skills. The event was mainly conducted in the form of open discussions, exchange of ideas, and analysis of practical experience, allowing participants to freely express their views and explore effective ways to improve the English language teaching process.

The Rector of the University, Associate Professor Shahriyor Sa’dullozoda, took part in the event and emphasized in his speech that in the context of globalization and rapid technological development, teachers must continuously improve their knowledge and skills and apply the most up-to-date and effective teaching methods. He also highlighted the importance of organizing such professional meetings to enhance the quality of education.

Additionally, Sharifkhon Nosiri, Director of the “ZABONOMUZ” and “BeeOmuz” centers, participated in the event and shared insights on modern foreign language teaching practices, ways to develop speaking skills, and the use of interactive methods in the educational process.

During the open discussion, key issues related to improving English teaching methods, engaging students in the learning process, using digital resources, creating a modern educational environment, and enhancing language proficiency were comprehensively addressed. Participants shared their personal experiences and practical examples, proposing effective approaches for implementing innovative teaching methods.

At the end of the event, certificates were awarded to 30 teachers who successfully completed English language professional development courses. This initiative was recognized as a sign of appreciation for their efforts in professional growth and improving their qualifications.

It was noted that organizing such events contributes to the development of the academic and educational environment, improvement of professional skills, and strengthening of intra-university cooperation, thereby creating favorable conditions for enhancing the quality of education.
