SCIENTIFIC-CULTURAL EVENT DEDICATED TO THE DAY OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN AND THE 33RD ANNIVERSARY OF THE XVI SESSION OF THE HIGH COUNCIL OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN

On November 13 of this year, according to the plan of events of the Tajik University of Innovation and Digital Technologies, a scientific and cultural event was held.

The event was attended by Salim Sayvalizoda, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in Kulob, Safarali Bozorzoda, Honored Worker of the Republic of Tajikistan and participant of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council, Associate Professor and Candidate of Technical Sciences Bobokhon Qurbonzoda, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Quality Management, Associate Professor and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Muminah Mahmudzoda, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy, Education, Propaganda, and Social Affairs, as well as faculty members and students.

The event began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The program was led by Vice-Rector Muminah Mahmudzoda. Afterwards, Associate Professor Bobokhon Qurbonzoda delivered a speech on behalf of the university administration, congratulating the participants on President’s Day and the historic XVI Session of the Supreme Council, highlighting the achievements of the Leader of the Nation during the years of independence.

During the speeches, Salim Sayvalizoda, Safarali Bozorzoda, and Ruhshona Boronova (Head of the Department of Law and Humanities, Candidate of Historical Sciences) emphasized that in the early 1990s, dramatic changes occurred in the political map of the world with the collapse of the Soviet Union. Former republics gained independence, but Tajikistan faced internal conflicts caused by both internal and external enemies.

The country experienced a deep political, economic, social, and ideological crisis. Schools and factories were closed, fear spread across the nation, and thousands of people fled their homes.

In this difficult and decisive time, in November 1992, the historic XVI Session of the Supreme Council was held in the ancient city of Khujand, at the Arbob Palace. It was there that destiny granted the people of Tajikistan a devoted and courageous leader — Emomali Rahmon.

Upon becoming Head of State, he kissed the national flag, symbolizing his devotion to the homeland. Since then, he has dedicated his life to ensuring peace, stability, and the revival of Tajikistan. Thanks to his determination and wisdom, the country restored its state institutions, formed a National Army, and adopted its state symbols — the Flag, Emblem, Anthem, and Constitution.

Today, under the wise leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the country has achieved significant success and continues to progress toward prosperity.

The celebration of President’s Day is an expression of respect for his historic service, recognition of his contribution to national independence, peace, and unity.

The event concluded with a cultural program presented to the audience.
