THE EVOLUTION OF TAJIK STATEHOOD IN 35 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE — A HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT STAGE OF NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

On September 4, 2026, a scientific and theoretical conference entitled “The Evolution of Tajik Statehood in 35 Years of Independence: Factors, Stages, and Achievements” was held at the Tajikistan University of Innovation and Digital Technologies.

The conference was actively attended by university faculty members, staff, and students, who shared their views on important historical, political, social, and economic issues related to the theme.

During the conference, it was emphasized that State Independence, as the greatest achievement in the modern history of the Tajik nation, plays a key role in strengthening the foundations of national statehood, preserving national values, promoting economic and social development, enhancing Tajikistan’s position in the international arena, and creating a solid foundation for the country’s sustainable development.

The participants’ presentations focused on the stages of the formation and strengthening of national statehood, the achievements of the independence period, the development of science and education, modern technologies, the digital economy, youth-oriented policies, and the role of young people in the development of independent Tajikistan.

During the discussions, it was noted that 35 years of Independence are not merely a historical anniversary, but rather 35 years of nation-building, strengthening statehood, sustainable development, and steady progress toward an even brighter future for Tajikistan.

The conference was held in a constructive atmosphere and provided favorable conditions for enhancing young people’s sense of national identity, patriotism, and civic responsibility, as well as strengthening the scientific and research capacity of students.
