On August 21, 2026, the Director of the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khurshed Mirzo, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Republic of Tajikistan at IT-Park Dushanbe.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in digital technologies and innovation, human capital development, the digital economy, and information and communication technologies.
The parties discussed opportunities for establishing direct cooperation between the University of Innovation and Digital Technologies of Tajikistan and higher education institutions in India in the fields of information technology, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Potential areas of cooperation include student and faculty exchanges, joint educational programmes, and short-term training courses.
The parties also emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between the private sectors of the two countries, including IT companies, startups, and innovation centers. In this regard, they discussed opportunities to organize business missions and implement joint technology initiatives that could contribute to the development of business partnerships and commercial cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to follow up on the agreements reached and further strengthen cooperation in the areas discussed.
