On the sidelines of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS+20) and the AI for Good Summit, held in Geneva, Swiss Confederation, Mr. Khurshed Mirzo, Director of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, delivered a statement at the High-Level Meeting of the Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) in his capacity as the Coordinator of the Group.
During his address, Mr. Mirzo presented the common position of the LLDC Group on expanding digital connectivity, advancing the implementation of the Awaza Programme of Action, and strengthening international cooperation. He also highlighted the Republic of Tajikistan’s experience and initiatives in promoting the digital economy, fostering innovation, and harnessing the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence.
The participation of the Republic of Tajikistan in this high-level meeting and its statement on behalf of the Group of Landlocked Developing Countries underscore the country's active role in international affairs and its continued commitment to strengthening multilateral cooperation.
