On 9 June 2026, a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the modern technology and innovation complex “IT Hub Dushanbe” was held with the participation of Rustam Emomali, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairman of Dushanbe City.
IT Hub Dushanbe is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the field of digital technologies and innovation in the Republic of Tajikistan. The project is designed to foster a modern digital economy ecosystem, advance artificial intelligence, support technology entrepreneurship, expand scientific research activities, and develop a highly qualified workforce.
During the presentation of the project, Khurshid Mirzo, Director of the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, announced that the total investment volume for the project will amount to USD 100 million.
The complex will cover more than 53,000 square meters and will consist of four key facilities:
• Dushanbe IT School — a modern educational institution dedicated to training specialists in digital technologies, with the capacity to accommodate up to 1,500 students and pupils;
• Dushanbe Regional Artificial Intelligence Center — a research and innovation facility equipped with advanced computing infrastructure and a modern data processing center;
• IT Park Dushanbe — a hub for startup development, digital entrepreneurship, and investment attraction;
• IT Business Center — a modern corporate facility designed to host international technology companies and leading organizations.
The complex will provide workspace for more than 5,000 professionals and create favorable conditions for the operation of hundreds of technology companies, research centers, and foreign investors.
As a national platform for the development of the digital economy and innovation, IT Hub Dushanbe will facilitate foreign investment, create new employment opportunities, expand exports of digital services, and strengthen the Republic of Tajikistan’s position as an emerging technology hub in the region.
The construction of the complex is regarded as an important step toward digital transformation, human capital development, and the enhancement of the country’s technological and innovation potential.
