Within the framework of implementing the action plan of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Strategy for Countering Extremism and Terrorism in the Republic of Tajikistan until 2040, a constructive meeting was held with the participation of university officials responsible for educational affairs and students of the Faculties of Digital Economy and Finance, as well as the Engineering Faculty.

The main objective of the event was to strengthen patriotism, self-awareness, and civic responsibility among young people, as well as to promote national values and authentic culture. During the meeting, important issues related to preventing youth involvement in extremist and terrorist organizations, illegal religious teachings, superstition, and drug abuse were comprehensively discussed.

It was emphasized that in the modern world, certain interested groups use social networks and various propaganda tools to attract uninformed youth into radical movements. Therefore, enhancing legal and religious literacy, along with developing critical thinking, was identified as a key factor in countering such threats.

In addition, the prevention of the spread of illegal religious teachings and superstition was discussed. It was noted that Islam consistently promotes knowledge, education, and high moral values. Any ideas or teachings that contradict national legislation and societal values must be firmly rejected.

A significant part of the meeting focused on drug prevention. It was highlighted that drug addiction is one of the serious challenges of modern society, negatively affecting an individual’s health, future, and social standing. Particular attention was given to the dangers of synthetic drugs, including methamphetamine, and their harmful effects on mental and physical health.

At the end of the meeting, an open discussion session was held, allowing students to receive clear answers to their questions and share their views and suggestions.

Such educational meetings contribute to raising awareness, responsibility, and vigilance among young people and play an important role in nurturing a healthy and forward-looking generation.
