On April 7, 2026, a high-level meeting was held at the University of Innovation and Digital Technologies of Tajikistan between the Rector of the University, Associate Professor Shahriyor Sa’dullozoda, and the Coordinator of the European Erasmus+ OFINU project, Professor Irina Kulitane from the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies.
During the constructive meeting, the parties discussed strategic issues related to expanding international cooperation, with particular focus on priority areas such as academic mobility of faculty and students, professional development, and the implementation of joint educational programs with the possibility of obtaining double degrees.
Within the framework of the project “Open Innovation University in Food Technologies,” significant results have already been achieved, including a study visit of six university specialists to Latvia to gain expertise in modern food processing technologies.
At the same time, the involvement of experts from the Slovak University of Agriculture in training on food safety management, along with equipping the university with modern technological equipment, has significantly improved the material and technical base of education.
These initiatives enable students and faculty to conduct research in line with international standards.
Another important aspect of the visit was strengthening the link between science and industry, during which Irina Kulitane met with the management of industrial enterprises “Orien-Rustam” and “Hikmat.”
These multilateral partnerships, which also involve leading universities of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, are transforming the University of Innovation and Digital Technologies of Tajikistan into a key innovation hub in the region and paving the way for a bright digital future for youth.
